Coronavirus- Special Duas and Guidance- Part 2nd

In these unprecedented times we can sometimes find ourselves feeling helpless and anxious. It is in these times that we build emotional and spiritual resilience. The Prophet ﷺ said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.” Sahih al-Bukhari Ask for ‘Afiyah The Prophet ﷺ said you cannot ask for anything better than ‘Afiyah. O Allah, I ask You to be saved from any Distress, Grief, Hardship, Harm, and Don’t test me, Allahumma inni as’aluka al’afiyah “O Allah, I ask you for Afiyah.” اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ Have Tawakul Sickness can bring about a sense of uncertainty and helplessness and it is in these times that we turn to our Lord, for we believe that nothing befalls a person other than that it is through Gods will. We come to appreciate the power in his Lordship and turn to him reminding ourselves that He is the Almighty, the All wise; ‘Say: “Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Protector. In Allah let the believers put their trust.” (Surah At-Tawbah: 51) Tests happen to bring us back closer to Allah, so when a person is hit with a trial we are reminded to say; ‎Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un ‎ “Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return” َ ‎ إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون This statement is a reminder that whatever situation we are in we will always go back to Allah, Verily we belong to Allah. We are reminded we are not alone and that we are not in control. لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا Allah does not burden any soul with more than it can bear. (Surah Bakarah: 286) Reflect and refocus : With all the fear around the Coronavirus outbreak, we can feel panicked and anxious, like our life is spiralling out of control. An infographic by the Yaqeen Institute helps us reflect and refocus our thinking.

We have been advised to strengthen our faith in these difficult times and to increase our prayers and supplications to Allah swt on top of taking preventative measures such as washing hands regularly and practicing social distancing to help contain this situation. Make dua: Dua for health and well being.
Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahum-mastur ‘awrati, wa amin raw’ati wahfazni min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfi, wa ‘an yamini wa ‘an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa ‘audhu bika an ughtala min tahti , O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religious and my worldly affairs...
